ACTIVITIES Walking in a wooded, quiet rural area is a special pleasure, or fossil rock hunting along the creek. Others read in the hammock, count bird species enjoying the fountains and bird feeders, or watch deer, foxes, jack rabbits, and wildlife from patio rooftops. Glorious sunsets, fabulous Hill Country views, and stargazing draw guests to rooftops evenings and nights. |

Bandera is known for its great music and dance halls, and reservations or event tickets may be scheduled at cost. Come dance the night away! Antiquing and shopping keep guests busy in the daytime, as well as drives through the exciting Texas Hill Country with clear streams, wildlife, rugged terrain, and many parks such as Lost Maples, Enchanted Rock or Garner State Park. Horseback riding and bicycling are popular at the Texas State Natural Area, the largest in the state, or at other locations in our area. Tubing and kayaking on the Medina River are favorite summertime activities. Summers are also the time to enjoy rodeos in Bandera - several every week! Special events throughout the year - RiverFest, Apple Festival, Cajun Festival and Hunters BBQ - add entertainment for everyone. Professional massages are fabulous on the rooftops at Casas de Amigos, in casitas, the courtyard, or at studios in Bandera. Golf is great in Bandera at the Flying L or Lost Valley Resort, and at Tapatio Springs Resort east on Highway 46. Tee times may be arranged or information provided for guests to finalize their plans.
